Resurfacing your Bathroom
Not everyone has heard of resurfacing before. Below is a basic run through of the process.
Firstly the fixture you are having resurfaced is thoroughly cleaned and prepared including the repair of any chips or removal of rust damage that may exist.
After the initial preparation we protect any surrounding surfaces by masking these areas off.
Once the surface is prepared and protected, we begin the actual resurfacing process.
Resurfacing involves chemically welding a cold cure enamel to your old fixture.
The new enamel is sprayed onto the surface leaving it sparkling new.
We then ensure we clean up after ourselves.
Remove masking and any rubbish from the preparation process, we do not leave you to do these jobs.
Finally we silicone seal where necessary and leave your bathroom ready to use after the enamel has cured which takes around 4 hours.
Frequently asked questions
How long does it take?
A single item like a bath or shower base takes between 2 to 4 hours to complete the resurfacing works.
How long until I can use my new surface?
Usually within 24 hours.
Will resurfacing chip or damage?
Yes. It is the same as any new surface. It can be chipped or scratched, however it is extremely hard and durable. It can also be repaired if damage does occur.
How long does it last?
With normal everyday use and care it will last at least 10 years, the same as any new bathroom fixture.
How will it look when finished?
It will look like a brand new surface.
